Debussy. Arabesques Nos. 1 and 2. Jose Iturbi (1895-1980), piano. Nearly forgotten now, this Spaniard was a conductor, pianist and actor. (Anchors Aweigh - 1945 and 6 other films.) His film career unfairly diminished his standing as a classical artist, but his recording career extended well into the LP era. Recorded in 1946. Transfered and restored from the original 78: RCA Victor No.18237.
